Our client a major telecoms service provider requires a Front Office Engineer (RAN & Transmission) to join their RAN operations department. The successful Front Office Engineer RAN & Transmission's responsibilities will include:

The Front Office Team manages a multi-vendor 2G & 3G RAN and transmission network across the UK and ROI. Our prime objective is to help provide the best service to our customers' network
As part of this team you will be involved in ensuring network availability and performance is always at a maximum and that all service interruptions are kept to a minimum in accordance with the SLA's and KPI's
1st Point of contact for all RAN or Transmission related problems
Take ownership of network faults and planned/unplanned service interruptions, managing them through to resolution or escalating where required.
Ensure all faults and service interuptions are captured in the trouble ticketing systems, providing regular and accurate updates.
Follow all processes and procedures, identifying and informing the FODM of any improvements required
Interface/provide support to, FOps, all Vendors, all Suppliers and other keys areas of Operations/Business with regards to RAN related issues.
Identify training and other requirements, updating the FODM with recommendations/requirements.

Experience:

Knowledge of 2G/3G Radio Access Networks, 2 years 1st Line 2G/3G experience
Experienced with fault finding process and management platforms
Experience with one of the following Vendor's RAN equipment; 3G Nokia Siemens Networks /or Ericsson 2G
Proven operational experience in transmission in one or more of the following areas - MW, PDH,SDH,ATM or IP.
Working knowledge of 2G/3G Core networks, services and applications
Minimum HND or equivalent recognised Telecommunications Qualifications
